SBM is excited to be working out of our new London office this Spring. Here’s a look at the latest construction progress.
A new addition to the core of St. Thomas, Ontario, this building will house the City’s Social Services department, along with St. Thomas Elgin Housing Corporation and Central Community Health Centre.
Intended to be a catalyst for the downtown core, the lower and main levels will house office administration with the 2nd and 3rd levels used for residential housing.

Liberty Village has started construction, this three storey - 30,000 square foot professional office space will offer ample parking, high ceilings, spandrel windows and easy access to grocery, pharmacy, eateries and shops. Already over 50% rented, the building is slated for occupancy the Fall of 2018. SBM was fortunate to participate in the Civil, Structural and Mechanical/Electrical design of the building.
Strik Baldinelli Moniz has been retained to complete the Civil and Structural Engineering design on the Haldimand Central Administration Building. The building will house a new council chambers, courtrooms, administration services and other key municipal services. Construction budget is estimated at $19.5 million.
Strik Baldinelli Moniz wins bid to design the tallest TOTAL precast concrete building in Ontario. “Our structural design team is excited to be working on this ground breaking project.” notes Mike Baldinelli MESc, P.Eng, Large Building Division Principal @ SBM. “When completed this building will be the tallest free standing TOTAL precast building in Ontario, topping 26 floors.” Stubbe’s Precast Concrete will be the suppliers. Construction is slated for Spring of 2018.
