AARON STRIK P.Eng.

Aaron Strik, P.Eng. holds a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Civil Engineering/Co-operative Education Program from The University of Waterloo. Aaron is one of the founders of Strik Baldinelli Moniz Ltd. Aaron’s role is to oversee the financial operations of the company and oversee the administration team. Aaron also provides mentoring and over site to the structural small buildings division.

Academic Qualifications

Bachelor of Applied Science, Civil Engineering- Cooperative Program Certificate in Structural Engineering from The University of Waterloo.

Kevin Moniz, P.Eng. holds a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Civil Engineering/ Water Resources Option – Co-operative Education Program (With Distinction – Dean’s Honours List) from The University of Waterloo. Kevin’s role is the Principal in charge of planning, building design, civil, structural large buildings, mechanical, and electrical divisions.

Structural Kitchener Office Manager


Darryl is a licensed Professional Engineer specializing in the structural design of low- and mid-rise buildings. Darryl has been an associate with the firm since 2014. Darryl specializes in the analysis and design of projects using concrete, structural steel, conventional wood, heavy timber, masonry, and light gauge steel. Typical projects completed are within the residential, multi-residential, and Industrial-Commercial-Institutional sectors.

Darryl’s role is to manage the structural department and day-to-day operations of the Kitchener office. Darryl also acts as the Project Lead for many structural and multi-disciplinary projects lead out of the Kitchener office. Darryl also has experience providing engineering services for municipal bridge projects and reserve fund studies.

Structural Engineering Manager


Graeme holds a Master of Engineering Science Degree in Civil Engineering & Environmental Engineering (specializing in Wind Engineering) from The University of Western Ontario. Graeme’s role is to provide technical guidance and review for the structural design in the structural group, as well as project management. Graeme is currently the Structural Engineering Manager in the Commercial/Large Building division and is the engineer of record on several mid and high-rise multi-residential buildings for private developers throughout southern Ontario and the G.T.A. He also oversees SBM’s Specialty Structural Engineering projects, including the design of concrete box culverts, retaining walls, sheet pile walls, temporary excavation shoring, and bridge evaluation, for projects by the MTO, municipalities, and private developers.

Mechanical Division Manager


Matt holds a diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technician (Design Major) from Fanshawe College. Matt began his career working at Nemak’s Windsor Aluminum Plant in the Capital Purchasing department where he gained valuable working experience with Professional Engineers, technicians, and customers. From there he joined Emcad Consulting Engineers (now SBM Ltd.) in 2007 as a Mechanical Designer and moved into a Project Lead Role. Matt’s current roles include continued Project Management of long-term MEP clients and overseeing the Mechanical Engineering Division of the firm. He specializes in multi-unit residential developments, while also providing oversight to the team in commercial, residential & industrial projects and client/business development practices.

Structural DIVISION MANAGER


Matt is a licensed engineer in the province of Ontario, specializing in the structural design and evaluation of steel, concrete, wood, and masonry buildings and components. He is an Associate with SBM, and the Structural Engineering Manager for the Commercial Buildings design division. 


Matt has completed many large-scale building design and restoration projects across Ontario and manages the Structural portfolio of Infrastructure Ontario projects within the firm. He is involved in all stages of the project, from conceptual to detailed design, procurement, contract administration, and project close-out phases.

ELECTRICAL DIVISION MANAGER


Pete is a Project Lead and Associate for Strik, Baldinelli, Moniz Ltd. (SBM). Before joining the SBM team, Pete started his career working in the Construction Industry as a Journeyman Electrician, Electrical Foreman & Electrical Project Lead. During these 15 years in his various roles, Pete gained valuable experience on-site working with various contractors, developers, consultants, and local utilities. This experience working in the field created a very easy transition for him in joining SBM.

STRUCTURAL DRAFTING/BUILDING DESIGN DIVISION MANAGER


Tom graduated with an advanced diploma in Architectural Technology from Fanshawe College, where he received honors by being on the Dean's Honors' List. As a member of the team, Tom's responsibilities include supervising the Building Design & Structural Drafting Division, which specializes in commercial, multi-level residential, and industrial projects. Presently, he serves as a Project Lead for Multi-disciplinary Projects that span across several locations in Ontario. These projects involve collaborations with private developers, design-builders, and construction managers, focusing on multi-level residential buildings, commercial plazas, and industrial manufacturing/warehousing facilities.
