SBM Introduces Ecology Services for the Built and Natural Environment

We’re proud to officially launch Ecology Services as part of SBM’s growing lineup of multi-disciplinary consulting offerings.

With increased attention on sustainable development and environmental responsibility, our Ecology team offers a full range of services for the built and natural environment. Whether it's a new subdivision, infrastructure expansion, or conservation initiative, we bring specialized expertise to help clients navigate complex ecological requirements with confidence.

Our team has extensive expertise in terrestrial, aquatic, and wetland ecology and has an in-depth understanding of environmental legislation, natural heritage policies, and field work protocols applied in Ontario. We work closely with private and public sector clients to provide practical and science-based solutions that support project success.

This new division enhances SBM’s full-service approach by offering:

- Ecological support for land development and infrastructure
- Environmental permitting and approvals for energy and aggregate projects
- Natural heritage planning, restoration, and conservation strategies

With Ecology Services now under the SBM umbrella, clients can expect the same level of professionalism, technical excellence, and collaborative project delivery we’re known for— now with expanded capabilities to support ecologically sustainable planning and development.
